Customers Experience

My name is Stacie Roy and I visited The Lab with my grandson "Tyson".

Unfortunately, I doubted the paternity of my grandson due to the mother's infidelity early on in the relationship with my son. Coming to the lab was a very hard decision for me but a necessary one.

The medical assistant explained the easy procedure for both Tyson and me and within a week we had the results we had hoped for.I would recommend this lab to friend's and family.

Grandparentage

Grand Parent DNA Test

If you would like to find out if you are the biological grandparents of a child the Grandpaternity, also called the Grandparentage or Missing Parent, DNA test is the right choice for you. This way you can indirectly test if you are the grandparents when an alleged father is not available to do a paternity test.

You can use the results for your own information or as proof in more legal matters.

Grandparentage DNA Test

In Grandparentage DNA testing the DNA profile of the alleged father’s biological parents will be compared to that of the child. The DNA part she inherited from her father should match the DNA that has been passed down from the alleged grandparents.

Mother’s participation is encouraged to eliminate her contribution to half of the child’s DNA, leaving the other half to test for the paternal contribution. If both grandparents are not available to be tested, the test can be performed with only one grandparent’s participation as long as the child’s mother is included in the test.

If the biological mother does not participate, a lower probability of relationship should be expected.

Procedure:

The process is very simple and easy. Our professional medical assistant will rub a swab on the inside of both cheeks of the grandparents and the child. The child and the grandparents can swab at different occasions if that is more convenient. This is a painless and non-invasive procedure. It will take no more than 10 minutes. If more than one child is being tested, additional fees will be incurred.
